Kelly Cutrone Book Signing of 'If You Have to Cry, Go Outside' New York City

In one of my recent visit to the library, I came across a book that "can't be judge by its cover". when I saw it in the shelf, I thought to myself: "Oh great another reality celebrity trying to make some money writing a stupid book". I don't really care about their details of their fabulous life or their idea of being "Hollywood fabulous". However, I decided to pick it up and give a chance since I want to do Fashion PR someday. IT SURPRISED ME.

It was a wonderful book with a truly wonderful story. It feels like Kelly is right there giving you a 1 on 1 story about the ups and downs of her life that would keep you interested and excited about your own life. The books is full with Kelly's advice in how to pursuit your dreams and taking a no for an answer.

I loved it, I really did because I could relate to it. for Kelly moving to New York was a dream as it was for me and that's one of the many things I found in this great book..High Five for Kelly

I hope to hear from you guys soon and keep me post it!

FW Fall 2010

There is nothing more exciting than being in NY for fashion week. Seeing the popular tents and the abundant stream of people rushing as the enter to literally fashion's heaven is something that I always looked forward to. From celebrities, fashion editors, bloggers, to the infamous show crashers. Unfortunately, fashion week did not start that well. The suddenly death of Alexander McQueen definitely left us with a bitter taste that still lingers in my heart. I truly admired him, I know he would always be remember like the masterful genius that he was. However, the show must go on.

You guys all know that I have thing for Carolina Herrera, but I can't help to love everything she makes( mmm really who doesn't) she described her collection as opulent, and ohhhhhh boy it certainly was. A sophisticated taste is as important as a opulent bank account.

Another special lady is Monique Lhuilier. The collection was elegant, chic, and more importantly adorable. Beyond beautiful. from the embellished cocktail dresses to the red carpet gowns, all of it was stupid gorgeous.

For men in the other hand, Diesel black and gold was mad cool. It has the old school rock and roll/laid back vibe that we all love with even cooler concepts and lines. I was very pleased with diesel as always. By the way, to shop at diesel stores is a pleasure. the retail stores( at least the ones in New York) are super fun because its nice set up as well as the people that work on them. High five! ! ! !

I also liked one the newest names in fashion: Simon Spurr. I can say that I would like to have every piece in his collection not only because are fantastic but versatile and easy to wear. I think you can have lots and lots combination that would keep renewing your look and wardrobe.
Once again friends, there are so many talented designers, but I would need maybe ten more post. However, you guys could check out: Marchesa, Rodarte, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Micheal Kors, Angel Sanchez, and Oscar de la Renta among others.

I am dying to know what did you guys thought of this fashion week.

Blessings,

xoxo

Fashion's First Lady

Michelle Obama is ready to be next Jackie O if she isn't already. Every time I see Michelle Obama on TV or in pictures she is rocking it out. She is not afraid of using bold powerful colors and the good thing about it is that works for so brilliantly for her. I really love this woman fashion's sense and style. I think she started a trend in the USA with her belted cardigans that she look so lovely.

I can't wait to see more of this amazing lady!

When Fashion changes lives

Who said female empowerment!?

My fellows fashion enthusiasts I came across with an article that blew my mind. I was thrilled that fashion was used to touch people's lives. In Rio De Jaineiro, Brazil a government sponsored program take female "street workers" and instructed with techniques of sewing and design in order to give them career options besides being a prostitute. I think fell in love with fashion even more. Like I always said, it is not only about the glamour and the couture but about humanity and philanthropy.

I can't help to think about those ladies that went from being a prostitute to now a working fashion designer. It makes my day.

Here are some pictures of the fashion show that took place in the red light district in Rio.
